Senior Design System Engineer at Zeal Network, owning the component libraries that power iOS, Android and Web products. Sits across frontend and mobile engineering, bridging design and code for a shared, multi-brand design system.
What you'll do
- Evolve, expand and maintain component libraries across iOS, Android and Web
- Partner with UI/UX designers on component APIs, naming, states and variants
- Keep code in sync with the Figma library
- Define the system's architecture: theming, brand layering, versioning, releases, contribution model
- Maintain living documentation such as Storybook
- Drive adoption through pairing, reviews and migration paths
- Make accessibility and responsive behavior built-in component properties
- Adopt agentic coding practices and use AI coding agents while owning technical decisions, code quality and outcomes
What we're looking for
- Several years as a frontend or mobile engineer
- Hands-on ownership of a design system or shared component library used by multiple teams
- TypeScript and Angular skills or comparable depth in another modern framework
- Willingness to go all in on Angular
- Sharp instinct for component API design
- Hands-on native UI development with Kotlin/Jetpack Compose or Swift/SwiftUI
- Strong expertise in one platform with interest in working knowledge of the other
- Experience with design tokens and theming multi-brand environments
- Strong grasp of responsive and adaptive design
- Strong grasp of accessibility standards
- Habit of verifying responsive design and accessibility in practice
- Product mindset toward internal tooling, measuring success by adoption
- Enjoyment of enabling other teams and building consensus across engineering and design
