T-Mobile is hiring a Senior Design System Technologist to build and evolve the AI-powered design system for Mint Mobile and Ultra Mobile's digital products. The role sits within Experience Design, working with engineering and product partners. It owns component libraries, design tokens and documentation.
What you'll do
- Use AI tools to accelerate component generation and streamline documentation and workflows
- Lead development of design tokens, components and UI patterns for cross-platform consistency
- Partner with designers, engineers and Design System Manager on requirements and workflows
- Research and build front-end implementation of complex UI patterns and prototypes
- Drive design system adoption and build Figma plugins to improve efficiency
- Create technical documentation and host workshops on AI capabilities and Figma guidelines
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, web development or software engineering plus 5 years experience
- 4-7 years experience in interaction design or front-end development
- High proficiency using AI tools like Claude and Codex for prototyping
- High proficiency in front-end development, including code review and auditing
- Strong understanding of design principles, UI patterns and accessibility standards
- Ability to design adaptable interfaces across devices and platforms
- Expertise in Figma, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React and Storybook
- Excellent communication skills bridging design and engineering
- Strong collaboration skills working closely with designers and engineers
