Telesure is hiring a Senior Design Systems Specialist to build, maintain and evolve a scalable design system across its digital products and brands. The role sits within the design team, working closely with product designers, developers, product managers and brand teams to ensure consistent, accessible, compliant experiences.
What you'll do
- Create, document and maintain a library of reusable UI components, patterns and design tokens
- Ensure consistency and scalability of design elements across digital platforms
- Maintain and evolve the Digital Corporate Identity
- Support the broader design team with ad hoc design initiatives and projects
- Contribute to managing partnering relationships with internal clients
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product designers, UX writers and developers
- Work with development teams to ensure components meet specification and accessibility standards
- Establish and uphold guidelines for usage, accessibility and brand alignment
- Conduct regular audits of digital products to identify inconsistencies
- Gather feedback from design and development teams to refine the design system
- Stay up to date with design trends, tools and best practices
- Support implementation of customer experience initiatives, tools and testing
- Develop training courses to improve performance and meet business requirements
- Provide training and documentation to help teams adopt the design system
- Act as a champion for design consistency across the organisation
- Lead voice-of-customer, journey mapping and touchpoint analysis to identify pain points
- Define and deliver products and services that meet customer needs
- Identify shortcomings and suggest improvements to processes and systems
- Act as subject matter expert and maintain accreditations and industry knowledge
What we're looking for
- Matric / Grade 12 / SAQA accredited equivalent
- Relevant design-related qualification (degree, diploma or certificate)
- Minimum 5 years professional experience in UX/UI or Product Design
- 2 years focused experience on design systems (creation, maintenance or governance)
Nice to have
- Experience in the Financial Services industry
