This role sits within Rippling's Design Systems team, which builds the UX patterns and components used across 40+ product teams. As Lead Designer, you'll drive platform-wide projects, define AI-first design systems, and shape Rippling's global design language.
What you'll do
- Lead efforts to simplify complex workflows into repeatable UX patterns and components
- Help define AI-based design systems to accelerate the design team's work
- Become an authority on Rippling's design language and systems thinking standards
- Provide regular design feedback to designers and engineers, and solicit feedback in return
- Manage time and process to meet team deadlines
- Create and validate designs through sketches, prototypes, and testing
- Work with engineering to ensure high-quality implementation and user experience
- Create high-fidelity visuals and specifications for final design solutions
What we're looking for
- 6+ years experience as a design systems or product designer
- Experience defining and expanding design systems, components and patterns
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Outstanding portfolio showing UX, interaction and visual/UI design depth
- Experience partnering with product managers, engineers and product designers on component deliverables
- Experience with prototyping to explore and convey design solutions
