Senior Product Designer – Design Systems at Order.co, sitting within Product Design and partnering closely with Engineering and Product Management. Owns scaling and evolving the design system across the Order.co platform.
What you'll do
- Scale and evolve the design system, focusing on high-traffic legacy experiences
- Audit existing experiences to identify component gaps, inconsistencies, consolidation opportunities
- Partner with engineers to create scalable, accessible, production-ready components
- Champion usability, accessibility, consistency, and quality across the product
- Establish and communicate design system principles and decisions across the organisation
- Explore AI-enabled workflows for component discovery, documentation, quality checks, pattern generation
- Reduce duplication and improve efficiency across design and engineering
- Measure and improve system adoption, usability, and effectiveness
What we're looking for
- 4–7 years of product design experience, including significant design system experience
- Proven experience building, scaling, or evolving a design system
- Strong expertise in component-based design and reusable interaction patterns
- Advanced Figma skills and familiarity with modern design system workflows
- Strong understanding of how design systems translate into production code
- Experience partnering with engineers, navigating tradeoffs between flexibility, consistency, scalability
- Hands-on experience with AI tools and curiosity about their application to design systems
- Excellent visual, interaction, communication, and systems-thinking skills
- Portfolio demonstrating meaningful design system work
Nice to have
- Fintech and/or ecommerce experience

- Begins as a 6-month contract, with intention to convert to full-time based on mutual fit and business needs
