Senior Software Engineer on Netflix's XD Design Engineering team, owning the Design Platform central to the product development lifecycle. Works on productivity tools, automations and component libraries that speed up the design-to-engineering handoff.
What you'll do
- Contribute to, maintain and expand design component libraries and capabilities (React)
- Implement AI solutions that measurably accelerate product design workflows
- Lead engineering projects from ideation to implementation to rollout
- Conduct internal user-research to inform prioritisation and feature development
- Complete medium to large features independently without guidance
- Serve as primary point of contact for Design System support requests
- Work with designers and engineers to maintain integrity and reliability of the Design System portfolio
- Participate in on-call rotation to meet critical SLAs
- Conduct design and code reviews
What we're looking for
- 7+ years professional experience designing, building and shipping software
- Experience with single page application architecture, patterns and design
- Experience fetching data from GraphQL and REST APIs
- Experience with client-side instrumentation and observability
- Proven ability to lead projects and communicate with partners
- Strong project scoping and project management skills
- Able to design, architect, debug, test and document code
- Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, React and Node.js
