Senior Product Designer role owning Hawkins Professional, Netflix's design system for enterprise tooling. Sits at the intersection of design logic, system architecture, tooling and AI capabilities, guiding UX consistency as AI-generated UI grows.
What you'll do
- Lead efforts to ensure all components meet quality standards including accessibility, motion and theming
- Own comprehensive, machine-readable system knowledge and keep it production-ready
- Partner with engineering to translate design guidance into structured logic for AI agents
- Define, document and evolve the system's core primitives and component APIs
- Partner on design and maintenance of AI-assisted design tooling like agents and copilots
- Partner with engineers to build automated refactoring, migration and copilot tools into workflows
- Develop design testing frameworks and guardrails for human- and AI-generated usage
- Expose the system through component APIs, schemas and LLM-optimized knowledge bases
- Monitor design system health including adoption, divergence, duplication and AI usage patterns
- Champion system thinking and AI-driven scalability across the organisation
- Operate at the intersection of engineering and design, integrating aesthetic and technical considerations
What we're looking for
- 5-8+ years of experience in system design at scale
- Visionary mindset setting and articulating vision for design systems
- Deep expertise in systems thinking, balancing strategy with execution
- Strong communication and storytelling skills for influencing stakeholders
- Strong interaction and visual design skills for components and patterns
- Production experience with React, modern JS/TS and CSS
- Experience with a mature design system or component library
- Ability to work fluently across Figma and code
- Familiarity with generative AI concepts and interest in AI-powered design tooling
