Associate Director-level product manager owning the omnichannel design system that powers customer-facing content across all brands and markets. Sits in the content supply chain function, reporting to the Director, Content Creation & Storage, and coordinates work in a matrixed environment without direct reports.
What you'll do
- Own the omnichannel design system as a product, defining vision, roadmap and release plan
- Translate brand identity, accessibility requirements and channel needs into design standards and components
- Govern integration between Figma, Supernova and downstream developer environments
- Establish versioning, deprecation and contribution processes for the system
- Manage the component library and token architecture in Figma
- Run the governance model including intake, design review, quality control and approval
- Maintain alignment between design assets and downstream production
- Drive adoption of the design system across brands, markets and agency partners
- Define and publish standards and rules for content development
- Partner with agencies and internal creative teams to build from the system
- Define how AI-generated content is created, reviewed and governed
- Evaluate emerging design and content technologies
- Pilot new approaches with selected brands or markets and scale what works
- Define and monitor KPIs for reuse, adoption, consistency and cycle time
- Act as a strategic partner across product, brand, creative, technology and market teams
- Create transparency through reporting and leadership updates
What we're looking for
- 6+ years in product management, design systems or digital/brand experience delivery for enterprise-scale organisations
- Direct experience owning a design system end to end, including libraries, tokens, documentation, versioning
- Deep hands-on knowledge of Figma, including component architecture, variables/tokens, shared libraries, handoff
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Proven experience using Supernova or similar tooling alongside Storybook and GitHub
- Strong experience partnering with brand, creative, agency, engineering and market stakeholders
- Practical experience applying AI-generated content in a design or content production context
- Proven ability to apply standards for modular content, metadata, naming and accessibility
- Strong understanding of regulated or compliance-sensitive environments
- Experience delivering design systems across multiple brands and geographies in omnichannel content supply chain
- Ability to travel up to 20%
- Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, marketing, communications, technology or related field
- Strong product mindset for treating design system as a living product
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across leadership levels
- Strong design craft and systems thinking across channels, brands and touchpoints
- Analytical, outcome-oriented approach for defining and acting on KPIs
- Strong collaboration and leadership presence working through ambiguity
