Design Producer role supporting M&T Bank's Enterprise Design System team. Sits within a cross-functional group spanning technology, design, content and research. Owns team operating rhythms, work intake, delivery coordination and metrics tracking.
What you'll do
- Assess and improve delivery processes and workflows to reduce friction
- Facilitate operating rhythms like planning, refinement, reviews, demos, retrospectives
- Define and document lightweight standards for how the team works
- Surface impediments and operational gaps, escalate and resolve with leaders
- Advocate for shared mindsets and practices supporting agility and design thinking
- Establish work intake processes across bugs, feature requests and maintenance
- Support initial analysis of incoming work, identifying gaps and dependencies
- Partner with product, design and engineering to improve requirements quality
- Facilitate triage, prioritisation and sequencing conversations, documenting outcomes
- Maintain documentation showing how work moves from intake through delivery
- Coordinate day-to-day execution for releases and sprint-based work
- Maintain accountability for work tracking through task capture and updates
- Monitor delivery progress and communicate status, blockers and risks
- Support release readiness by ensuring work is defined and sequenced
- Create and maintain process documentation and operational artifacts
- Support meeting hygiene with agendas, outcomes and action items
- Reinforce accountability by following up on commitments and clarifying owners
- Promote consistent communication practices across team and stakeholders
- Track and share delivery and team health metrics like predictability and cycle time
- Facilitate retrospectives and other improvement conversations
- Identify gaps in people, process and systems, recommend improvements
- Support creation of team standards and collaboration patterns
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree plus 2 years' relevant experience, or 6 years combined education/work experience
- Facilitation skills for planning, refinement, review and retrospective sessions
- Ability to bring structure to ambiguous work
- Experience creating or maintaining process documentation and team standards
- Comfort with delivery and team health metrics, turning them into insights
- Experience improving team operating rhythms and work intake practices
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban or hybrid delivery approaches
- Ability to identify risks, blockers and process gaps, and escalate them
Nice to have
- Experience working with or supporting a design system or shared platform team
- Experience working in a financial or regulated enterprise environment
- Fluency in Agile and Design Thinking beliefs and practices
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence or SharePoint
