Product Designer for Design Systems at JioStar, sitting within the Design team alongside Product Design and UX Research. Owns and scales the Design Language System across mobile, web and TV platforms, bridging design and engineering with AI-powered tooling.
What you'll do
- Co-own the Design Language System and drive its evolution and adoption
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, researchers and stakeholders to improve how teams design and build
- Design, build and document components, patterns, libraries and guidelines
- Define and implement frameworks, processes and governance models for the Design System
- Partner with designers and engineers to identify gaps and solve system-level challenges
- Advocate for design systems, driving awareness and adoption across the organisation
- Leverage AI-powered tools like Cursor and Claude Code to prototype and automate workflows
- Build lightweight tools, scripts or prototypes to improve efficiency and adoption
- Explore and integrate emerging AI workflows to enhance the design system
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual effort
What we're looking for
- Ability to collaborate deeply with design, engineering and cross-functional partners
- Strong design craft in typography, composition, colour, layout and interaction design
- Systems thinking mindset for holistic design
- High proficiency in Figma with working knowledge of Git and front-end technologies
- Inclination toward design engineering, translating concepts into prototypes or code
- Proactive approach to leveraging AI for building and problem-solving
- Hands-on experience or strong interest in AI-assisted tools and modern workflows
- Comfort experimenting with emerging technologies
- Ability to build lightweight tools, automations or plugins
- Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles
Nice to have
- Experience building tools or plugins
- 3-6 years of relevant Product Design experience
- 2+ years experience architecting, building, implementing, documenting or maintaining Design Systems at scale
