iCapital is hiring a Design System Designer at Assistant Vice President level to build and evolve the design system. The role partners with Product, Design, and Engineering to create reusable, scalable, accessible experiences.
What you'll do
- Design, build and maintain reusable design system foundations, components, patterns, templates and documentation
- Contribute to evolving the design system into AI infrastructure
- Partner with Product, Design and Engineering to identify reusable opportunities and evolve the system
- Review and guide design system contributions from product designers
- Champion the design system by educating teams, driving adoption and gathering feedback
What we're looking for
- 5+ years in Product Design, including 2+ years hands-on with design systems
- Proven experience building and maintaining design systems solving complex challenges
- Strong visual and UI design skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Expert-level Figma proficiency, including library management, component architecture and variables
- Strong systems thinking translating product needs into reusable patterns
- Excellent collaboration and communication across Design, Engineering and Product teams
- Experience collaborating with engineers from concept to implementation
- Self-motivated and collaborative in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design process, problem-solving and measurable impact
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Git and Visual Studio Code
- Experience designing accessible experiences and familiarity with WCAG standards
- Experience with motion design and interaction design
