Staff Product Designer role at Hinge Health, sitting within the Outcomes Pod. Owns design vision and strategy for member-facing experiences around progress tracking, pain logging, and engagement over time.
What you'll do
- Lead design vision and strategy for the Outcomes pod's member-facing experiences, focused on the Progress tab and pain logging
- Improve how and when members share pain data and create useful feedback loops
- Translate complex clinical and behavioral data into simple, motivating interfaces
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data to define hypotheses and run experiments
- Raise the quality bar by creating frameworks, patterns, and design principles
- Influence adjacent teams on shared surfaces, metrics, or behaviors affecting outcomes
- Champion accessibility, clarity, and product quality for members with different needs
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of product design experience partnering with product and engineering teams
- Bachelor's degree in Interaction, Industrial, Product, or Service Design, HCI, Architecture, or equivalent experience
- Expertise in interaction and visual design with track record of advancing craft quality
- Experience leading ambiguous problem spaces and defining design strategy across products
- Fluency in data-informed design including hypotheses, experiments, and research translation
- Excellent communication and influence skills aligning cross-functional and senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated success mentoring designers and elevating team output
- Strong prototyping and systems-thinking skills across flows and components
Nice to have
- 3+ years of product design experience partnering with product and engineering teams
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interaction, Industrial, Product, or Service Design
- Experience designing progress tracking, dashboards, or data-rich product experiences
- Experience simplifying complex systems into intuitive consumer-facing experiences, especially health or wellness
- Proven facilitation skills leading leadership conversations on ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives
- Experience contributing to or shaping design systems that scale quality and consistency
- Curiosity about emerging AI tools and workflows for design quality or speed
- Passion for helping people live healthier lives through design and technology
