Product Designer on the Goodreads Design team, owning an AI-ready design system across web and mobile apps. Responsible for maturing design tooling and consistency across Discovery, Reading, Tracking and Community product areas.
What you'll do
- Own the design and enablement of the design system across web and mobile apps
- Manage design libraries and tooling, educating the team on best practices
- Create customer-centered designs incorporating feedback, research, data and market trends
- Create flows, wireframes, design mockups and rapid prototypes
- Partner with design, product and engineering teams to define systems and AI enablement
- Partner with User Research and independently drive evaluative research
- Advocate for design by presenting cross-functionally and articulating rationale
- Give and solicit feedback from other designers to raise quality bar
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of design experience
- Online portfolio demonstrating end-to-end user-centered design solutions across desktop and mobile
- Experience designing and prototyping with Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud or similar
- Experience delivering design solutions as a UX or interaction designer
- Visual design expertise demonstrated through mockups and style guides
- Experience working collaboratively with developers on design implementation
Nice to have
- Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and design
- Experience delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
- Written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience managing, contributing to and adopting design systems
- Understanding of user-centered design processes and AI integration
- Experience designing for consumer-facing and ad-supported products
