Senior Design System Engineer role at Electrolux, joining the cross-functional team behind SHAPE, the group's multibrand design system. The team supports Web, Mobile and Appliance experiences, owning shared components, tokens, patterns and documentation used by hundreds of engineers and designers.
What you'll do
- Lead and deliver the frontend part of the design system
- Support other engineers and strengthen collaboration across teams
- Create usable design system assets meeting and exceeding accessibility standards
- Improve assets continuously in line with design system best practices
- Align the design system with company goals on efficiency, consistency and scalability
- Participate in conversations and workshops with stakeholders, users and contributors
- Explore and apply AI-assisted development workflows
What we're looking for
- Frontend engineering experience on a design system team
- Experience delivering and maintaining shared assets like components, tokens, patterns, guidelines and documentation
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to implement designs
- Eye for detail translating design intent into code, visually and functionally
- Understanding of frontend engineering principles and component architecture
- Good practices in code quality, accessibility and agile development
- Clear and respectful communication skills
- Strong React skills
- Comfort using AI as part of daily work
Nice to have
- Experience maintaining open-source libraries or shared internal tools used by multiple teams
