Product Designer II role on the Design Systems team within Coinbase's Consumer & Business group. Owns the Coinbase Design System (CDS), building scalable components and patterns used across every product. Works closely with Design and Engineering across Platform and Consumer orgs.
What you'll do
- Own iterative improvement of design system components and patterns across web and mobile
- Drive new system features from ideation through prototyping, user testing and production delivery
- Partner with design and engineering teams to document, define and evangelize scalable design patterns
- Lead participation in design reviews, incorporating feedback to raise the quality bar
- Execute on the design systems product roadmap and contribute to long-term systems strategy
What we're looking for
- 3+ years professional product design experience with a focus on design systems
- Experience designing scalable components and systems for consumer-facing web and mobile products
- Proficiency with AI design tools (Figma Make, Vercel V0, Cursor) for systems-level work
- Expert-level Figma skills including prototyping design system components within product screens
- Track record collaborating cross-functionally with engineers, researchers and product teams to ship systems at scale
- Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight for business-ready outputs
