Senior Product Designer role at Clear Street, building the design system from scratch as an early hire on a new design team. The role sits at the intersection of design and engineering, shaping product decisions alongside PMs and engineers from day one.
What you'll do
- Own the design system: token architecture, Figma Variables, component library, Code Connect mappings, documentation
- Connect design and engineering, catching drift before it becomes a problem
- Set accessibility and quality standards and hold to them
- Work with PMs and product designers when a systems decision has product implications
- Use AI tooling such as Claude Code or Cursor to close gaps and move faster
What we're looking for
- Built or substantially rebuilt a design system
- Fluency in Figma Variables, design tokens, and the Figma-to-code bridge
- Opinions on token naming, semantic structure, and governance
- Uses AI tooling to actually close gaps
- Some familiarity with investing or trading
- Comfortable in the product layer, understands end users
- Can work without much oversight
Nice to have
- Experience with Token Studio or Style Dictionary
- Fintech or financial services background
- Exposure to React component architecture
- Deep trading domain expertise
