Blink Health is hiring a Senior Design Systems Engineer II to shape and scale the visual and interaction foundations of its digital ecosystem. The role partners with Product Design, Software Engineering, and cross-functional teams, owning the shared frontend design system.
What you'll do
- Create and refine standardised UI components for quality, performance, accessibility and design fidelity
- Conduct code reviews and validate design fit and finish through implementation reviews
- Publish, document and maintain components in the centralised design system library
- Integrate design system components into existing products transitioning to shared UI infrastructure
- Act as consultant and mentor for other engineering teams on design system best practices
- Create live prototypes and proofs of concept to test new patterns and UI paradigms
What we're looking for
- Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript and modern front-end tooling
- Expert use of modern AI-assisted tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT
- Proficiency in Figma, including design-to-code and component architecture collaboration
- Familiarity with Storybook or similar environments
- Understanding of WCAG accessibility standards and UI performance optimisation
- Strong appreciation for design quality and interface detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with designers, engineers and product managers
- Proactive, problem-solving mindset bridging design and engineering
Nice to have
- 7+ years professional experience in front-end or UI engineering
- Experience working on enterprise-scale or complex professional software
- Prior contributions to a frontend design system at scale
- Experience integrating UI components into a complex ecosystem
- Comfort with rapid prototyping and experimentation
- Experience in healthcare, fintech or other regulated industries
