This role owns the day-to-day governance of design system foundations, components and templates, ensuring product squads reuse existing components while evolving new patterns. It sits within the Design System product squad, working closely with Product, Engineering and Content Design to scale the system across web and app experiences at Allwyn UK.
What you'll do
- Oversee governance and documentation of foundations, components and templates
- Drive the design system forward through close collaboration with Engineering, including tokenisation
- Support evolution of Figma libraries, foundations and component architecture for scalability
- Maintain and build upon existing ways of working across squads
- Work within the Design System product squad to deliver its roadmap
- Contribute to quarterly planning sessions to align priorities
- Feed into bringing new AI tooling to increase squad efficiencies
- Identify opportunities to improve adoption and reduce duplication
- Help enforce design standards across product squads
- Drive the design system roadmap forward with Engineering towards a fully scaled solution
- Promote best practice across accessibility, usability and interaction design
What we're looking for
- Industry leader in Figma
- Extensive experience creating, evolving and governing design systems in a complex digital environment
- Demonstrable experience maintaining and scaling a design system
- Strong understanding of component-based design, design tokens and design-to-code relationships
- Excellent attention to detail with passion for consistency, quality and usability
