Staff Product Designer, Design Systems at Airwallex, owning the component and pattern library across the company's digital products. Works cross-functionally with design and engineering teams to drive adoption and consistency of the design system.
What you'll do
- Conduct audits to gather use cases and UX patterns across digital products
- Create reusable component and pattern definitions supporting diverse use cases
- Identify inconsistencies in existing component usage and design system deviations
- Work with teams to ensure alignment and adoption of consistent components and patterns
- Work with developers to implement and quality check components
- Craft component and pattern usage guidelines
- Enforce processes to guide appropriate usage and upkeep of the design system
- Champion the value and advantages of the design system to internal stakeholders
- Advocate for design system adoption within the organisation
- Demonstrate the design system's positive impact on user experience and efficiency
- Enhance and adapt the design system based on user feedback and industry trends
What we're looking for
- 7+ years as a designer
- Portfolio demonstrating deep understanding of product design and craftsmanship
- Strong UI design skills
- Excellent methodical and critical thinking skills
Nice to have
- 2+ years experience maintaining a design system
- Content strategy knowledge
- HTML/CSS knowledge
